Program Description

Event Details

BPL is proud to partner with Doll’s House Foundation to celebrate Black History Month by welcoming multiracial author and proud single mother Connie Rutherford. Connie will discuss her book Searching for Tadpoles: The Journey to Motherhood of a Single Mother by Choice, which chronicles the intricate challenges of dating, family dynamics, fertility procedures, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Searching for Tadpoles offers inspiration to those who possess an unwavering determination to overcome obstacles.

After working on Wall Street for 20 years, Connie transitioned from finance to the technology industry. She is a lifetime member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority, enjoys watching Taiwanese dramas, and cheers for Oklahoma football. A former avid runner and cyclist, Connie now spends her time chasing after her kids at their home in New Jersey.
