Program Description

Event Details

This program provides young nature lovers with the opportunity for hands-on learning about native plants of Connecticut with our roving naturalists. It includes a “Plant Bingo” activity, where kids look for real examples of native plants outside (weather permitting), as well as an observation activity where they can take a closer look at the structure and function of various plants. The program will be adapted for indoor use if needed.

Best for ages 6 to 11. Registration is required.

Presenter: The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is charged with conserving, improving and protecting the natural resources and the environment of the state of Connecticut as well as making cheaper, cleaner and more reliable energy available for the people and businesses of the state
