Program Description

Event Details

Nature has always been a great inspiration to artists, from cave drawings to contemporary artists working today. Let’s view and discuss artworks that examine the beauty and complexity of nature. While there are some names you have likely heard of, you will also view the work and hear the stories of artists you may have never heard of before.

BPL is excited to welcome back Helane Rheingold. Through engaging commentary and questioning, Helane encourages viewers to learn and discover a new appreciation for art. Helane has worked as a docent at the Neuberger Museum of Art in Purchase, NY, an instructor at Learning in Retirement, Inc. in Stamford, CT, and an arts enrichment facilitator in the Stamford Public Schools.

This program is presented as part of our Big Read discussion of The Bear by Andrew Kivak in partnership with ECSU and CEEC. Join us for the discussion here.
