Event Details
With a focus on digital literacy, this presentation analyzes how trans-themed stories play out in the news media.
Clare McCarthy is, first and foremost, an educator. A former Latin teacher of 33 years, she is skilled at clearly communicating complex and often unfamiliar material. An engaging and thoughtful speaker, she works with organizations to promote a better understanding of trans issues with a blend of humor, vulnerability, research, and lived experience. In 2022, Clare opened Transqat Enterprises, a transgender advocacy business, to combat misinformation and disinformation and to provide a safe space to learn.
