Author/illustrator Janice Hechter will visit Bloomfield to discuss her recent book:  Where are the Women? The Girl Scouts’ Campaign for the First Statue of Women in Central Park. This book won eight awards and is on the shortlist for the Goddard Riverside Youth Book Prize for Social Justice. KIRKUS REVIEWS recommended the book, describing it as “An inspiring true story of female empowerment...”

Janice Hechter will discuss her process for writing the book, followed by a Question & Answer session with the audience.

Best for kids in grades K-6, but all ages are welcome!
