On My Own: Self-Taught Artists (Virtual)

BPL is excited to welcome back Helane Rheingold. Through engaging commentary and questioning, Helane encourages viewers to discover a new appreciation for art. Helane has worked as a docent at the Neuberger Museum of Art in Purchase, NY, an instructor at Learning in Retirement, Inc. in Stamford, CT, and an arts enrichment facilitator in the Stamford Public Schools.

In this series, we explore the work of artists who have had little to no formal training, many of whom began their art later in life. While there are some familiar names, you will also view the work and hear the stories of artists you may have never heard of before.
