Program Description

Event Details

Join the BPL Youth Librarians, as we conclude Hispanic Heritage Month for 2024.  We will hear a hear a story about Pura Belpre, the New York Public Library's first Puerto Rican Librarian.  We will learn about this influential librarian, author, and puppeteer, who championed bilingual literature.  After the story, we will make our own finger puppets to tell OUR stories - just like Pura!  Best for ages 6 to 10 years old, but all families are welcome!
