Program Description

Event Details

Established in 1982, Banned Books Week brings together the entire book community in shared support of the freedom to read. Incidentally, National Sewing Month (September) was also declared in 1982. We combined the ideas to present a Banned Bookmark kit for you to make at home.

Visit BPL Atrium Library to pick up your Take & Make Kit which will include materials and instruction on making your own "banned" (or band) bookmark. Any child, teen, or adult who wants to hand sew is welcome to a kit and families are encouraged to take one for each member (while supplies last).
