Program Description

Event Details

It's the end of Summer (Reading) and you're invited to our first ever Teen Lock-in!

What is a Lock-in? At this afterhours program, you - the teens - will rule the library. Only our gaming presenter, library staff, and teens will be in the building - no parents or siblings are permitted. Since this is an afterhours program we have a couple of rules: You must provide a parent or caregiver's name and phone number upon registration and you must have an adult pick you up at the door at 10PM. No exceptions.

Timeline for the event:

7:45-8:10PM - Check-in and eat pizza (Doors will lock at 8:10)

8:00-9:45PM - Game on multiple consoles set up throughout the building (Note: we will use the quiet Study Pods for sensory downtime or quiet alternative activities)

9:45-10:00PM - Wrap-up, Lock-In Only raffle prize drawings, and decorate & eat cupcakes

10:00PM - Pick up required at the parking lot side of McMahon Wintonbury Library. All adults must meet Sara at the entrance before any teens are released into your care. Thank you parents and caregivers!

Limited space available. You must be 12 years old to attend. You don't want to miss this special event! See Sara Ray with questions (including dietary concerns for pizza and cupcakes): sararay@libraryconnection.info

One more note: You will be asked to confirm your attendance and that you have a ride for 10PM. Expect an email from Sara in early August.
