Bloomfield Public Library is proud to virtually host Canadian Young Adult author Kenneth Oppel!

Mr. Oppel is the author of many beloved young adult books, including The Overthrow series (Bloom, Hatch, Thrive), Inkling, Boundless, and The Silverwing Trilogy. He has won numerous literary awards, including the 2004 Governor General's Literary Award for English language children's literature, a Printz Honor Award from the American Library Association (both for Airborn) and The Times Children's Novel of 2005 (for Skybreaker, named a 2006 Best Book for Young Adults by the American Library Association). Mr. Oppel will share a presentation about his writing, including the current 2025 Connecticut Nutmeg Book Award Nominee, Bloom. There will be time for Q&A at the end of the presentation.

The program is best for ages 10+, but all are welcome to attend!
