Program Description

Event Details

This hand-on program begins with an introduction to herbs, like basil, thyme, rosemary, and others. While they're learning about different herbs, they'll have a chance to decorate their ceramic pots. Tweens will spend the rest of the time planting windowsill herb gardens. They'll leave with instructions for the care of the gardens, recipes for herbal bread and basil lemonade, and a reading list of books and online resources to learn more about gardening in small spaces. Plant a seed. Read!

Best for ages 8 to 12 who can work independently. Registration is required in order to provide enough materials. Limit of 24 tweens.
