Program Description

Event Details

Come make poetry with former Montessori elementary guide and now farmer Laura Pallandre.  We'll analyze a poem by listening to it 3 different ways, go off for a bit to write our own poetry ideas and come back together to share.  Feel free to bring any poems you have.  Let's play with some words!  Participants will have the option of adding their poems to the BPL Story Cube! The Story Cube is an engagement innovation! It is a new tool to help teach elusive and intangible “skills’ through the unique way of delivering short fiction... at the touch of a button, priniting it out on eco-friendly paper, while boosting reading for fun.

Come join the Children’s Museum at Bloomfield Library on the first and second Friday's of the month.

First Friday - learn robotics on the first Friday of every month, November to January. We’ll be designing and learning to code our own robots based on what you imagine. Build on your skills every session, or join us for the one’s you can and have a fun filled afternoon.

Second Friday - Science with the Children's Museum

Third Friday - Poetry Group with Laura

Fourth Friday - Book Club, these are still forming.

Fifth Friday (if there is one) - Wild card!

Homeschoolers of all ages, birth to teen, are invited!  Sign up for each class is appreciated.  If you have questions email: dmartens.bpl@libraryconnection.info
